"That's the one. She liked things a certain way herself." Charlie read a little more of the file before setting it on the analyst's desk. He hadn't memorized it, but he'd get the file sent over if he didn't take it with him when he left.
"Wonder if it's a science thing." The detective wasn't a science person, not exactly. He knew it was useful, but there were things like guts and intuition. Being able to listen to more than what the facts and figures said helped solve cases, even if the law wanted just the facts...ma'am.
"What gets you in touch with yourself? I do yoga and have lots of sex." He nodded, as if that were a good way to help someone by talking about his own sex life. He didn't add that it was with his partner. He didn't think Jennifer would like for him to give that information to a stranger who might be the type to give the information to a not so stranger who might demand one of them leave the department. No, Charlie just offered up these things in hopes that it might help the returned guy out. Charlie was a helper after all.
