Dexter shook his head a little bit. "That's a small part of it. It's difficult to be here because I don't feel quite as kept together here. It doesn't have the same structure and social ties as back home does. I feel more lost here. Less in touch with myself."
He'd almost said he was less in touch with the world, but didn't think that it would go over so well with a detective. He didn't mind sharing his feelings about being here, but raising suspicion about himself wasn't on his agenda.
And truth be told, if he listened to certain parties, he was more in touch with himself here than he ever could be back in Miami.
"Brennan." Dexter nodded, thinking. "I've heard her name, I never met her. They called her Bones around the office. Forensic anthropology, right?"
