Veronica raised an eyebrow in return. "Yeah. Gettin' flung around by... I think it was a poltergeist... is not that far off from my normal weeknight, anyway."
It was true. Even back in Neptune, Veronica was always in some kind of trouble. That's why she had the tazer in her bag.
She laughed at the question, tucking some blond hair back behind her ear. She wasn't consciously flirting, but that didn't mean she wasn't doing it.
"I believe in Okham's Razor. So I don't think I can be Mulder. But I'm not a skeptic, either. So I think maybe I'm from some other show."
Veronica gave it as much time as humanly possible before picking his brain. For other people, this would have been a longer stretch. But Keith Mars didn't raise his daughter to just take things at face value.
"So what do you think of this place so far? And how much do you keep hearing about your other self?"
