The pinch to her butt earned Dean a half-glare and then a smile and a wink. Dinah was in a good a mood, and she was feeling a little bit playful.
She returned to the table at the tail end of the conversation and took her seat next to Dean after she'd placed the last dish on the table. She wasn't sure what to make of the mood tonight as she hadn't spent much time around Sam, but he didn't seem to be showing much emotion regarding the dinner or the fact that she and Dean were together now. She wasn't sure if that was normal or if she should be concerned about the lack of reaction.
She knew that she shouldn't care, but she also knew how important Sam was to Dean, even if the two had drifted apart lately. She didn't want to be another wedge in their relationship.
She looked at the two and then at the meal on the table.
"So the tradition that my parents always had was that we would just take a moment of silence to think about what we're thankful for."
It was, perhaps, less to ask for than going around the table and announcing what one was thankful for. Her hand fumbled for her boyfriend's under the table and whenever she found it, she gave it a gentle squeeze.
