When Tinker Bell settled on her shoulder, Christine couldn’t stop the look of surprise. A look which turned to a smile as it made her realise that Tinker Bell trusted her. She believed in her enough to let her guard down. To stay close to her. It meant a lot to Christine especially given the fact she did not yet have many friends. Tinker Bell may not be the type of friend she had anticipated but she was every bit as good a friend. She made Christine feel happy and welcome and wasn’t that important?
They had to walk for about five minutes to reach the point she had arrange to get the car from. Christine remained silent, giving Tinker Bell the chance to focus on things around them. At least it was a companionable silence. A silence which felt comfortable between them. She wouldn’t mind spending more time with Tinker Bell even in silence. After all, Christine couldn’t exactly understand her unless she focussed entirely on the way her lips moved. When they reached the car, Christine smiled at Mark, the driver Erik had employed.
“Home, to the manor, please,” she asked him as she slipped into the car, hoping Tinker Bell felt okay with coming in with her.
