If it had been anybody else, Annie might not have believed the statement that he never walked anywhere. She probably would have scoffed and rolled her eyes. But with Tony, she could see him getting in a car just to go down to the mail box, if he ever decided to do anything so bland as retrieving his own mail.
Annie took a moment to try to picture Tony opening a mail box, and discovered it was far too mundane for her brain to manage.
"Sometimes on my day off, I like to just walk and see what the City has to show me. I've discovered a few fun places. Good food. There's a zoo here, did you know? I haven't been yet, but I walked by it. And a botanical garden that's really beautiful. There are plants in there I think don't exist on any version of earth that might be out there. There was one day that it kept trying to send me to the docks, and it was really seedy, so I decided that was not a good day for adventuring."
Talking about the zoo reminded Annie that she'd meant to track down Rufio and ask if he wanted to go with her, maybe get a group of people together and make a whole day trip out of it. She was going to do that, soon.
