"Granted, they look pretty fantastic, but I don't know if that was worth it." Annie looked at his hands, unsurprised that he'd been through such a thing. It didn't seem like a particularly girly happening to her, so she didn't consider that it might be strange.
Annie pretended to not notice him looking at her dress and sipped at the wine.
"I have had very little in the way of Italian, I have to admit. But so far everything I've had has been fantastic. I'm all in for carbonara." Annie didn't usually mind trying new things, but tonight in particular seemed to be a new experience sort of evening.
"I think it's a toss up. We may not be able to get what we're used to, but there are a lot of things here that lean toward the opposite of limiting."
