"Then a genius you are indeed. Perhaps you would let me see a design one day? Even if it is not put into practice, just a drawing. I would very much like to see what you have in your mind." Because she knew that his architecture would be just as beautiful as his music. For such a mind as his would manage to apply the same discipline to every aspect of his work.
"No forgiveness needed. Please sit." And as he looked at her like that she knew where she must be. She found herself stepping closer, her hand resting on his forehead to gauge his temperature and then she lowered to her knees before him. She had to get him home. Back to the manor. He needed rest and the attention of a trained medic. She would see to that. She would just have to be assertive with him which wasn't exactly an easy task. He was so commanding a man that it seemed impossible to tell him what to do. Hopefully he would trust her.
"Oh Erik. You do not need to ask. What I said about losing you leading to the end of me was the truth. I will not leave you. Not now and not in the future. My soul and heart has clung to you and the grasp is so fierce it will never release." Her eyes were earnest and pleading. Why could he not see it or, if he did, why did he ignore it. She cupped his face as she did before, still where the mask once covered and now she knew why. Somehow, she was not sure how, she found the courage to continue speaking in a way she would not normally. But perhaps making him realise such things required bravery beyond her experience. But it was there. Deep, deep down but there. "Erik did my kiss mean nothing? I am yours. My place is by your side and always will be. I want to be with you and that fondness you speak of is within me only what I feel I am frightened to say in case it pushes you away."
