Fred just smiled. Oh, he was about to see many impossible things, and she was more than happy to share them. She'd get to see wonder, hopefully. Showing stuff to people who already knew things or didn't express emotion could make one feel...not overjoyed. Plus, she liked making new friends, and maybe she'd be able to help with the sadness. She knew she couldn't fix it, not that it really needed to be fixed, but she could help...maybe.
"Starships - space ships - they're kind of amazing. And movies, and friends, and food. Yes, food. And, I have some things I need to do - my job. Which I will tell you about if you want to know..oh, shit." She squirmed a little to look at the phone she'd been able to keep hold of. "Oh, sorry." She blushed at her language; he probably didn't like that, and she didn't use those sort of words often.
"I probably should take this and go. Thank you for sharing breakfast. You have your phone? I can look you up...or you could call me." She patted herself down and finally found a card with an "angel" on one side and her information on the other. "We'll call, and we'll figure it out, and it'll be great." She reached over to touch his shoulder, after resting the card on by his hand.
"Sorry to plan and dash. Really do have to take this." She held up the phone that was buzzing again as she gave him a sheepish wave and headed out.
