Christian smiled in return. He wasn't one to reach out and impulsively touch a lady - not the way Fred had just done to him - but it was.... it was nice. There was something... just nice about it. It made him feel human again, made him remember that there was more than just death out there, more than just loss.
"I have it on good authority," he said quietly, "That gentlemen typically no longer dress in a full suit for everyday wear." He straightened in his chair and gestured to his full suit, which was his standard everyday wear. "And so perhaps I do not know much about fashion, either. What a pair we strike."
He was smiling again, and that was a small miracle in itself. "I'd love to have you as a guide in this new time," he said sincerely. "I wish I had something I could give you in exchange."
