Fred continued to humming until she placed her order. She stepped to the side to wait, and blinked when she noticed a certain fellow standing behind a chair. She gave a soft laugh as he was just the person she was thinking about. Well, she was thinking about many people, but he was certainly high on the list.
She had a list of people she wanted to talk to soon. Christian to tell him about the opera. Errol to thank him and make sure he was okay. Jesse to see what the cowboy'd been up to. Dinah to make sure she had found Dean. Dean to tell him there was a ghost on L Street that needed to be looked into. Jo to pay her for a recent job. Annie to work on Dinah's phone. Megan and Hank to get those to together. They really did need to meet. Fred wondered if she didn't need more friends, or fewer.
Fred gave the Englishman a wave, and then winced as someone actually called out "Fern!" She liked this shop, but why did they always get the name wrong. Or she thought they had. She went to get the drink and was rebuffed by a woman who really was a Fern. And, she felt even more embarrassed when the barrista handed over a cup of java-y goodness along with a warmed chocolate croissant. The cup had "FRED" on it.
She turned back and around, heading over to Christian. It wasn't that she just expected to sit with him, but she could sit nearby if he wasn't in the mood for visiting.
