Fred smiled at the idea of taking Errol for waffles. They were a better cure-all than drink if anyone asked her. Not that anyone was asking.
She didn't say anything when he got a drink and started to partake of said drink, all without getting her one. No, she just watched him, wondering if she'd missed something, which she decided she definitely had, seeing as he was drinking. Errol didn't seem like the drinking type; then again, she didn't know him that well, did she?
"It's..okay? No, I think I'll have something later. Are you okay? You know you don't have to dance with me, or get a drink with me. This really wasn't part of the show. Actually, I don't know what was or was supposed to be part of the show, seeing as I've never been to the opera before. So, I thought we'd finish watching lots of loud women singing about their horses and viking boyfriends, and then we'd go out for burgers or maybe some ice cream. Ice cream seems like a good after opera snack." She smiled at him.
"Or I'd see you home, seeing as I asked you not you asked me, and then I'd go home and put my dress in the closet where it'd disappear until the next big dress up party event." The smile was sweet and not at all as sad as her words might have sounded. She really was just trying to make him feel better. Just in case he wasn't feeling so great.
