Distracted from his irritation Rufio turned at the sound of his voice, then grinned and returned the hug. "Hey, Enigma!" he said happily. She was still dressed in what looked like a costume, but he liked it immensely. It reminded him of the fairies.
Her request made him smile. "It was amazing, awesome!" he said, and meant every word of it. He'd been captivated by the entire production. "You've got the best voice ever. Like... magic." He wasn't a great master of words, but he was earnest and appreciative.
He noted the way she held onto him, and seemed nervous. That seemed out of character for her, even when he'd first sat by her she hadn't seem to wary of him. But he held her hand and smiled at her, relaxing a great deal. He didn't like the crowd either, but it was easier to ignore them if he had a friend. "Are you going to sing again? Can I come back and see?"
