Maybe Logan was paranoid, but her heard just a hint of accusation in her tone. Sure, he was reckless, but he'd calmed down quite a bit during his time in the City. In fact, he'd even been on the straight and narrow for the most part. He'd gotten a job and he'd curbed some of his more self-destructive tendencies.
"A car ran a red light right into my car."
He hated seeing her upset, and he hated being the cause of it. But there wasn't anything he could do to undo this and he'd rather be here, holding her through it than not. After all, if he hadn't called Eric, she would be going through this alone.
"A few months ago, a vampire made me an offer and I don't know. I knew that I didn't have much time left, so I called him."
Logan shrugged helplessly. He'd done what he could to survive, even if it was in a much different way.
