Dinah objected to killing under just about every circumstance, but she'd come close to killing the Joker herself. She would have, if Jake hadn't shown up right then. But after everything he'd done, and everything he'd taken away-she didn't want him alive. She didn't want to let him continue hurting the people she loved.
She was also afraid that he couldn't be killed. He'd come back once after all. But she'd be damned if she wasn't gong to find a way to try.
For now, however, her attention slid away from less pleasant things. Maybe it was simply the rush of being reminded that no matter what her fears were, today they were both alive and both here. Whatever the case, she leaned into him and smiled up at the hunter.
"We were, weren't we? I seem to recall that we still have a lot of missing time to make up for."
She pressed a kiss of her own to his lips, Tomorrow, they could go looking for his car and for more clues. Tomorrow, there would be a lot of work to do. For today, she was simply going to enjoy the time they had together.
