"Xanadu?" He looked around and looked in a few nooks and crannies for her. Then looked up at the sky all flustered, "Very funny. Thanks."
Well, she knew that he was going to the Bates Motel, so hopefully they'd catch up there. Looking down at his shoes, he gave them a good talking to (consisting of something like the tune to Rawhide) and headed off down the street to look for the Bates Motel. Had to be close, right?
He'd find out soon enough that he was wrong. This City-place was going to be the death of him.
