"Well, if you put it that way..." He stepped to the side, as if he were afraid she could get trouble on him. He laughed, stepping back to her. "I think I can handle it. I've dealt with a great deal worse. Then again, if you're the law..."
He was flirting, yes he was. He shoved his hands in his pockets and walked a little further before coming to a stop. Well, this wasn't the Library, but at least they'd found the park.
"Well, at least we found the park. Sorry it's not the Library. I like it here though. There's something calming about it. We had grass and trees and all that. But, this doesn't feel as if someone had to force nature to work. It feels...natural. Like it grew here on its own. And I sound crazy don't I?" His hand lifted to rub at the back of his neck, his mind working to find something that didn't sound so strange.
"Was it hard to do that? Make people pay for your services to help them? To solve crimes?"
