He was unaware how striking a figure they cut in the night -- him with his tailored suit and gloved hands, and her with all the seemings of a sparkling gem - bright and alluring.
He led her back toward the Opera House -- but not to the entrance. Rather, he followed the same path he'd led Christine through earlier that day. It was a very good thing Enigma hadn't tried to go deeper than she had.
