Dinah drew in a breath. She felt Harry's gaze on her, searching, maybe putting some pieces together. It was difficult to decide how much to share and how much of it were things that he didn't need to know.
She had already gone through this with Oliver and now...
Dinah had a feeling that she was going to hold on a little tighter to Dean when she got home later that night. She'd already had a brief experience with a different version of the hunter and at this point she thought that maybe it should be easier and less surprising to encounter someone who was supposed to know her but didn't, or didn't in the way that she knew them.
She wanted to tell him that Murphy was here but she realized that she hadn't seen the cop in awhile and she didn't want to get his hopes up. Not when the City seemed to be sending people home right and left.
"Well, the streets and buildings move around a lot here. Y-Someone once told me that if you focused on where you wanted to go, it usually worked well. Not always, but it does seem to work fairly often."
She gave him a half-smile. She would have to explain about the other Harry, assuming he hadn't started putting the pieces together himself, but she wasn't ready yet. Focusing on the mechanics of this place was easier for now.
"It's called the City. Capital C, no other name. And from what I've learned, it's a sort of sentient being. It's not exactly malicious though sometimes it can seem that way, but most of the time it seems to simply be curious. It provides a lot. Food, money, shelter, among other things."
She was careful not to disparage the City too much. It had provided for her, even though it had taken things away as well and there was still a part of her that feared the threat about taking away people she cared about because she was ungrateful.
