The tension in the air was palpable. Dinah had watched Dean go before turning her attention back to Oliver. She appreciated that neither man tried to escalate things into some sort of macho contest, but she didn't really know what to make of it. Murphy had once told her that she thought Oliver had feelings for her, but Dinah knew that this version of Oliver hadn't dated his version of Dinah so she didn't really know what might have happened or if it simply was a case of transferred feelings.
She did feel bad that Oliver wouldn't have a chance at whatever future he could have had with his Dinah, but she also knew that she would never have been able to simply brush aside all of the baggage from her Oliver. And when it came down to it, Dean was the one she wanted. Whatever anyone else might say about him, he was the guy who had been there for her over the last year and he had this way of making her happy, even with everything she'd been going through since Jake had disappeared.
Dinah did appreciate that Oliver at least seemed to be biting his tongue in regards to Dean. It wouldn't have gone well if he'd tried to give her a lecture. She sighed in response to his question and shook her head.
"That was a no," she confirmed.
She studied him for a moment, considering the invitation to the meeting.
"I'll come to the meeting. I can't promise much beyond that because I'm not sure if I'm ready to rejoin the team, but..." she shrugged. "I would like to meet with the team and catch up on recent events. I think we're all needed now more than ever."
