"There is indeed," he said quietly, thinking of flames.
He kept his eye on her hand, the merest shadow of relief in his eyes when she didn't actually touch him. He smiled faintly to cover it. "I'm rather boring," he said. "I spend most of my time at work, and most of what I do there is read. It isn't very exciting, as you can imagine."
