"If you had the chance to get your sister back, though?" Megan asked, glancing up at his face. "Could you really say you wouldn't be a different person when faced with that to someone you don't even know all that well?" She looked back down at her feet. She didn't really want to see his face, or even know the answer. She'd already lived through it once.
She snorted, though. "I don't know," she said. "I don't make the decisions. I just take people where they tell me to take them. I don't know where things go wrong." She gave him a bitter half-smile. "I've just been trying to survive it."
