Annie managed to stay sitting until the food was brought to her, but she was on the edge of the couch by the time it was put onto the coffee table. She didn't even wait for him to sit back down before she had a slice in her hand.
Eating gave her a bit of time to think over the day and the things that she'd seen. Meeting Jarvis. Getting to know about all the other things that Tony had in his collection of toys. Not to mention how happy she was that she still got to do the job she'd been offered before.
But it also nagged at her the way that he'd reacted when a certain name had been brought up. Things between her and this Tony didn't seem to be on the same wave as they had been with the other one. Which was disappointing, to say the least. But she couldn't stand the thought of being the 'other woman', and she didn't have it in her to force herself on somebody either way, but it felt like a particularly bad idea when that somebody was her boss. Ish. Maybe the other Tony had come to grips with the place he'd been in and maybe this Tony just needed the same chance. Time.
Annie stared at the television screen a moment, not quite sure what to say or do.
"Thank you." She said finally, grabbing a napkin. "For the pizza. And the job. And letting me meet Jarvis. All of it, really. Thanks."
