When the big man fell into the bed, it made a very audible whuff -- and Beauty had to clamp her hand quickly over her mouth to keep from laughing. It wasn't a malicious laugh; she was absolutely thrilled that he was pleased, thrilled that the City was letting her help. But even though he didn't seem the type to take easy offense, she didn't know, either. It was best not to giggle at the giant while he rolled around in bed.
"Well," Beauty said kindly, once she was no longer worried she'd open her mouth and giggles would fall out of it, "If you happen to see her out in the City, you just bring her right back here if she doesn't have a place, and she can stay here, too. Here --" And Beauty dropped her key on the nightstand by the bed. "That's yours for as long as you need it. I'm sure I have another one here somewhere."
And sure enough, an answering weight in her pocket made her smile again. She was going to have to thank Thomas good and properly when she got somewhere private, where no one could give her weird looks for talking 'to herself.'
