Ted shook Jennifer's hand. It was kind of strange to get to meet the woman he'd been hearing about for a couple of years. There had been one point in which he'd wondered if Charlie had snapped and was making it all up. But then details stayed the same and stories didn't change, so Ted knew that the partner was real.
"It's maybe a little rude but, um?" He pointed to his own eye, where Jennifer's tattoo was on her face. He'd never seen anything like that, especially not on a cop.
"I didn't fight the ghost. Jo fought the ghost. I very happily ran when she told me to." He didn't know why he felt the need to make that clear, but he did.
It was nice to see his friend happy with a woman, and not just having one around for the fun of it. He could see the difference in the way that Charlie looked at Jennifer, the way he touched her. He was familiar with her in a way that he'd never been with the others. Except maybe his wife.
