"Hated? No. Disliked. Wary, but not hated. Jennifer would not hate me. I know she was often angry with me. Probably not going to change that." He missed Reese for a moment, but then he let her go. He'd been comparing Jennifer too long to the other woman, and it was time he simply accepted that Reese was better where she was. Jennifer was here, and she was now and tomorrow.
"Then stop getting in danger." He gave Ted a quick smile before nodding. "I wish you would stop being in danger too. That or start fighting. I know you can." He had seen Ted angry. "Perhaps you should start taking classes." He didn't ask about the apocalyptic planet, not yet anyway.
