"My partner." Charlie nodded as if it was how it should be. He'd only thought of it as a bad thing for moments, or more he thought about it as against the rules. He'd gotten over that rather quickly. The detective motioned for Ted to join him.
"No fruit. Come. I have some cut up." He was always good for fruit. Charlie didn't like the idea that his housemate going without food. He felt the need to protect the man. "We were worried."
He moved to the kitchen and started pulling out a few bowls from the fridge, setting one slices of pineapple, another with kiwi, yet another with strawberries. He nudged the bowl with apples and pears toward the other bowls.
"You could." Charlie knew his best friend went about things a little differently, so he wasn't going to push. He was happy that someone other than Olivia might occupy Ted's time.
