Charlie watched Jennifer's appearance and disappearance; he gave something of a shrug and settled for dealing with Ted's reappearance instead.
"Jennifer." He patted Ted's shoulder. "I'm glad you're back. I missed you. We were worried. There were many reported missing, and all seemed to be ones the City brought. They weren't born here. Are you sure you're okay?" He stepped closer to Ted to get a better look. He didn't want Ted to say he was fine simply because there was a woman upstairs without pants.
"No one hurt you? Did you eat? Do they have fruit?" He wasn't sure he liked the idea that Ted had gone off to an apocalyptic world without him, but then it didn't seem as if Ted had had a choice.
"How often does she go around pantless? Have you been letting a strange woman walk around without pants?" He knew the last time he'd caught her without pants had ended very nicely, not that he thought the same would happen for Ted.
