Charlie had just gotten out of the shower, and he was thinking of grabbing just one more piece of fruit before crawling into bed. It was very nice having someone around the house. Horse liked it, and Charlie needed it. If asked, he'd probably admit to not wanting to be alone in a large house/mansion with no one there; no one human that is. Not that Charlie wanted to come across as specieist.
He wore only the pajama bottoms, guessing that somewhere in the house a rather attractive woman was wearing the top half of the set. He ambled down the steps, humming to himself. He continued humming while he crossed over to the kitchen, giving Ted a momentary, "Hi, Ted."
A few more steps before it sunk in what he'd just said. The cop turned around and walked quickly over to his housemate. He rested a hand on the man's shoulder to make sure he was really there.
"Ted. You left. Where did you go? Are you back? You didn't leave a note." There were many things that could have been said, but the basic obvious ones were the ones that seemed to be the most important. "Are you okay?"
