Dinah joined the back of the line for the burger stand. There weren't many people ahead of them. She took a moment to study the menu to decide what sort of burger she wanted. Then she glanced over at him, struck yet again by both the uncanny likeness and the subtle differences between this Dean and her Dean.
"What I saw of that place, it seemed rather bleak. I'm sorry."
She didn't want to leave the people in that place unprotected either. A part of her felt guilty for being back in the City, standing in line for food that was like nothing back in the apocalyptic world. Without thinking, she reached out and gave his arm a reassuring squeeze. As quickly as she'd done it, she took her hand back and gave him an apologetic wince. It was just... difficult to be near a Dean that was distressed and not offer some gesture of comfort.
"So are there many others besides you and Sam who were drawn into that world?"
She knew of at least one, since she'd met Aidan. And from what she'd heard while in the hospital, it sounded like there were others.
