"Yeah, well, God's a fuckin prick." Jesse shook his head. "You can love someone and hate em all at the same time, Castiel. And there shouldn't be no fuckin double standards. Y'all were made in God's image, and yet he can do whatever the fuck he pleases, and makes it so you lot are left doin all the dirty work. It ain't right."
He looked at the angel. "What I am, what I got, it makes me bigger than him. Even before we were joined, Genesis was the more powerful being. That's why God ran from us. Now God's gone, and I'm what's left. So I say fuck it all and live yer life the way you want to."
Jesse didn't think it would be quite that easy for the angel. It was an easy thing to say and a very difficult thing to follow through on.
"Humans can trust and be very close, despite what they might be able to also do. There's honest ones out there. Even the greedy ones. You might feel betrayed by what you've seen, but you can trust again too. It ain't gonna be an automatic and blind trust, but that's not bad. People gotta deserve that. You'll find that as the trust grows, so does the closeness. You might not even realize it's happenin. Just wake up one day and think 'holy shit, I got this person in my life who I trust with all o'me.' They break through that wall you put up. Bet if you give it a moment's thought, Dean and Sam mighta done it to ya already."
