"And the god." Charlie nodded. "This would be easier if we could talk to the City. They just go missing?" He stepped away from the lean on her desk to sit at his own. His fingers started moving over the keyboard. He was rather smart, and he was quite capable of using a computer. That was what he was doing.
"I don't think this is something that's regular. There's only one other time recently that the City lost people." He shrugged. "I don't think this is the same thing? The City didn't feel like it moved. That's what some of the reports are saying - it felt like the City moved." He shrugged. It didn't make any sense to him. He didn't think he'd been around for that.
"I know the City moves all the time, but maybe this is a different move. A real move. The City not just a street move." He was belaboring a point, but it seemed significant in some way. He continued looking over the list. It didn't seem as...drastic. There were a few reports, but this was the largest loss to the population that didn't come with death or some "natural" cause brought on by the City.
