"Ted too?" Jennifer was very unhappy to hear that. She knew what the man meant to her partner, how close the two of them were. No wonder Charlie wasn't a happy camper right now.
"I don't know. I haven't had time to sort through any of the notes that I've been forced to take. They started forwarding the incoming calls directly to me. I've had no peace, this is the first time I have gotten a chance to catch my breath even."
Maybe her yelling had helped something after all.
"Do we even know for sure that this is the City's doing? We have no way to talk to Thomas, do we?"
There wasn't really a Thomas anymore, she knew, but the name and the place were kind of tied up together in her head. If they could connect with the being behind the body, maybe they could figure something out.
