Hank sighed and stood, dropping off the wall and walking over to her.
"That's true. I was making a joke," he said, looking around. Her observation was an understatement, he remembered the last time he'd been here he was just learning to embrace his large feet. And then, the way Eric had acted around him had sent him running, and then into a feral frenzy for the first time in his life. He'd hated it.
Not that he was overly fond of it now, but he was at least adjusting, and finding the perks.
He folded his arms, looking at her. He didn't like the way she spoke about their sleeping together. He didn't have any illusions that there was a great deal of emotional investment; certainly not from her end, but he didn't feel it was as careless and casual as she seemed to hold it. And they way she kept phrasing it was quite disconcerting and knocking him out of the mood.
"Perhaps it best we return to the library," he said. "I don't have any personal places besides the lab, anyway."
