Re: Sidewalk Interlude - 9:15 a.m. (Dinah, Fred)
"He can make you forget he's given you blood. No matter how strong you think you are. He can make you forget him. He lies when he wants, and he speaks the truth when he wants. He does keep his word," Fred's words came with a slight wince. Dinah and she couldn't exactly agree on how to see Eric. "But, how he keeps it may not be how you expect him to keep it. And, he's works it out somehow, so that the blame always seems to be on you when things go wrong. Because they will...go wrong, even when you think they won't."
Beauty didn't know Fred, and if she had, she'd realize just what it meant for Fred to say such things. Fred wasn't a doomsday gal, not so much. She liked seeing the good in people, but she wasn't completely lost in the good or the hope. Just a little off the beaten path of cynicism and realism.
"Sorry, not exactly the stuff you want to hear on your birthday, huh? Though it's been so long since I've had a birthday I'm not sure how I'd feel to get one and then unhappy news." She shrugged, smiling slightly. "It really doesn't matter how I'd feel, I'm still sorry."
