Sidewalk Interlude - 9:15 a.m. (Dinah, Fred)
Out the door to Bookmark Books she flew, the bells around her ankle chiming in counterpoint to the bell on the door handle. She paused just a second to look through the window at her friends inside, hating that she was leaving when they'd come for her, and hating that she'd left without introducing Eric and Errol, and hating that she was leaving Errol with her friends, who she should be entertaining, herself -- but there was nothing for it. She trusted that Errol could manage Lestat and Eric on his own.
She couldn't afford to focus on the niggling voice in the back of her head that whispered warnings whenever she thought of both Errol and Eric together by themselves. Why she'd feel trepidation about it was a topic for later contemplation. Right now, she had a new friend who was leaving upset... and a new friend who needed the note she now carried.
Onward, then.
"Wait!" she called down the street. And that was Fred, up ahead. "Wait, Dinah!"
