Beauty had mentioned her birthday when she'd come to visit. Dinah knew all about what it was to have a birthday pass unnoticed. In fact, she'd had two pass by unmarked and uncelebrated in the City. And there were too many years that Ollie had simply forgotten.
Which was why she'd decided to return the gesture of friendship by stopping into the bookshop with a small cake. As a small favor, she hadn't baked it herself (her baking usually ended disastrously, so storebought was much better in this case) She had brought a card as well and some roses from her shop.
She nudged the door open, the chimes jingling merrily. She stopped as she saw the young woman in question talking to someone. Perhaps a customer or perhaps... just maybe the man that she had mentioned having a crush on? Maybe. Dinah lingered just inside the doorway, not wanting to interrupt the conversation whatever the case.
