Erik shook his head slowly. "The City drew me back, directly at the Opera House -- and my assistant greeted me there. I apparently arrived with the job already. That's been the most challenging part. Music, I understand. Productions, I understand. Having an assistant... That's something I've never had before, and they come with their own set of demands. Some of those demands include sitting down with the City's only legitimate reporter, or so it seems."
He bowed his head toward her in a gesture of respect -- but the way his mouth curved suggested that something else was on his mind.
The reality was that talking with people wasn't the easiest thing for him. He was used to commanding fear, not delegating and managing.
