The brainy female just pressed her cheek to his chest before she started to let him go with a soft sigh. She hadn't exactly cried, just shook a little. She smiled up at him.
"You don't have to babysit me either. I'm sure I'll be fine. I've gone through this sort of things...well, not this exact thing, but I have been alone before. Not that I'm alone, am I? You're a good person." There was a definite nod as if he might need the confirmation that she had just said that.
"No, I haven't eaten yet. I could." She took a deep breath and let it go slowly. "I think I would like to get something. Oh, I can treat you to something. How about that? I was thinking of going for waffles and tacos, or make a taco out of a waffle. Put some sausage and egg and bacon on a waffle then a little syrup and fold it up."
