The way that Honour was so unabashedly happy about things was infectious. Ted found himself smiling and happy as well. Not that he'd been in a mood or anything. But he didn't think that he would be able to resist whatever she was feeling. If she'd been sad, he would have been sad with her.
He took the laptop and moved away into the kitchen to put it down. That was two people he had loaned it to, now. Part of him was a little sad that she hadn't added her own decoration to it as Rufio had done. It was like getting baggage tags for traveling to other destinations. Annoying at first, but something of a mark of pride after a bit.
Ted returned to the living room to see her feeding the horse apples right from her hand. As if the creature wasn't spoiled enough from living inside and having the freedom to go where it pleased within the walls. He'd even found the creature upstairs more than once. They were grand and sweeping enough that it wasn't too steep, but he would have bet there was nothing of interest to the animal up there.
The first time, it had been half in a bathroom, and had just glanced over it's shoulder as if to say this was none of Ted's business.
"I don't think you could go unnoticed in anything you wear." Ted said honestly. She was a striking girl, and he was pretty certain that if it was male attention she was seeking, she could have worn a potato bag and gotten it.
