He did not look so hot, not at all. Annie felt the need to step forward and put his arm over her shoulders. There was really no way she could hold him up all on her own if he really went out, but she could steady him at the very least. Maybe get him to that bench over there.
"We're not on the rim?" She said, but he kept talking. She didn't know what the rim was, but she wasn't surprised that he thought he was still in his world. Everybody did, mostly, from what she'd heard. She hadn't because of how she'd gotten here. Just turning a corner into somewhere that had obviously not been the place she'd just entered.
"I think that's her." Annie said, at the description of the tall woman she'd seen at the conference. It was an awful close resemblance if it wasn't. She supposed it could happen, but she thought that it was the same person. "Yes, we have one, I think. Well, a God. I've heard about him. Also witches and vampires, mutants, angels, comic book heroes. The place we're in is the City. We just learned that it's an island floating in space. The question isn't all that weird, by the way. It brought you here, the City."
Annie nodded at the bench, hoping that the guy would notice and start trying to walk in that direction. She really didn't want him to fall on her. If he did, she wouldn't be able to call for help.
"My name is Annie, by the way. You should tell me yours in case you pass out."
