Zoe had left her husband in the apartment, one that wasn't far from the docks and Serenity. The fact that the place had come fully furnished and equipped had been something of a selling point. The fact that they didn't bother getting out of bed for a while, a bed that wasn't bolted to the floor for safety - though they were thinking about doing so now just in case, was only part of the reason Zoe was smiling. Actually it was most of the reason. Wash was back. Now all she had to do was figure out how to get them off this rock and in the sky again. Sure, it would have been nice if Mal were around to plan with, but she'd have to deal with things as they came.
So, how did she end up late in the night staring at a huge phallus on the side of a building in the business district? Specially when she could have been at home showing her husband exactly how good of a cook she was? Or having her legs appreciated yet again by such an adoring man? She was still trying to figure that out as she stared.
"What in the rut..." A few Chinese curses mingled with the words. And while she wasn't one for graffiti, she did have to laugh. This was certainly something rebellious enough to tug at her sense of humor. "Damn."
