It was very, very hard to stay seated, especially when Thomas became so very upset... especially when he started threatening people for what they were asking. Her first inclination was to leap up on stage and defend him. But another voice inside her head told her that this was a very unique opportunity for him to know exactly how everyone felt about the things that he truly believed were good for everyone.
She wanted people to think well of him. She wanted him to be happy. But sometimes.... sometimes you had to let others sort things out for themselves and experience things that weren't necessarily always pleasant. So she sat, hands tucked tightly together, and stayed put until the worst passed.
The conversations actually got a little easier for him, and she was glad. At last, she thought of a question that might help everyone, should she ask it. And so, keeping her encouraging smile firmly plastered on her face, she asked it:
"What happened during the time of the terrible storm that lasted so long and destroyed so much?"
