"I haven't died in over a thousand years." Eric was grinning while he kissed her. He understood where the protective feeling was coming from, because he felt it too. Not through the bond, though he felt it that way as well. There was his own need to make sure that she was safe and came back to him after she'd been out to play. He might have made light of her words, that she would do great harm to anybody who was a direct threat to his life, but he knew that she meant it. Because he would have said the same thing to her, if the situation had been reversed.
"Maybe I'll have to pay him another visit. It's been a while." He licked at the corner of her mouth, pressing his body against hers as he did so.
Eric had no idea what another meeting with Hank might be like. Each time had been so very different, only with irritation as a familiar seasoning. Irritation Eric could handle.
