"It's kind of just what you've said." Annie shrugged a bit. "I can talk to machines. All machines. I can make them work without touching them. Communicate with them and know what they want and think and how they work. All non-verbally."
She thought that she would die if she wasn't allowed to be around computers and things. They were so much a part of her life. "Well, if it makes you feel any better, I don't know that there's any kind of pattern for a GPS to be able to track. They're pretty precise. I'm not saying he can't do it, or whatever. He seems pretty smart. Both of you do. But in the end, it comes down to machine capability. They look for patterns, it's how they're made."
Now that Annie was hearing about Fred's plan, she was more determined to help. She wasn't sure how she could, but she was going to try.
"Well. Let's find you a phone then." She realized she was still holding onto the one she'd pulled from the box and held it out.
