Rufio grinned back, pleased that she seemeed to respond well to what he had to say. And he liked it when she propped her hand like that.
He frowned, however, when she asked about his flight. "I ran out of pixie dust," he said. "And my fairy isn't here any more to give more... it's how I flew." He shrugged his shoulders. "I couldn't fly before. I can do ok without it. It was a lot of fun. But it's no big deal," he said, chin setting in the way that meant he'd never really admit how much he missed it. And while Megan was part pixie she didn't seem to give off the dust that he could use, so he would ask her to try anything.
He scowled when she said she'd been fired, but then laughed. "That sounds like fun," he said. Then he tilted his head. "You could get another job maybe. And then your customers can go see you there and your old boss and jump off a cliff."
