She beamed with relief. "That's so nice! Thank you. You know, you're welcome to come visit my apartment whenever you want. You haven't been there yet, have you? I'll have to show you. It's a lot smaller than this, but I like it fine. Maybe I'll teleport you there! God, I didn't even tell you I could do that, did I? It's a little weird at first, takes some getting used to, but it's not bad at all, not really."
Megan was well aware that she was babbling, but it put off talking about anything else, so she kind of let it go while she explored the office. She didn't want to worry him. Rufio had that sword and got into fights, and Sniffy Guy had fangs and flew crazy-fast, and who knew what else besides. "It's nothing I can't handle," she said, shrugging. That part was kind of true, she thought. Not that she really wanted to test it further with her nerves shot like they were right now. She rolled her eyes, playing it cool. Sort of. "Some creep at work, I got rid of him. No harm in being cautious, though, right?" She peered out from behind one of the unlit Christmas trees and grinned. "Anyway, I'm here to hang out with you. What've you been doing all this time? Besides arts and crafts."
