Ted was surprised to see the gun. But if a knife worked, why wouldn't a firearm? This was not his area of expertise, and he would never have pretended to know any of this. Though, the salt thing was a bit of useful knowledge that he stored in his brain. Just in case.
He nodded, somewhat afraid to leave the circle that she had made, but very happy to get as far away from the house as possible. In fact, he was crossing it off the list in his hand. Not that he'd ever forget which house it was. It just felt really good to see it with a big black line through it.
Not knowing how to help, Ted watched as the ghost came back and the helpful girl was thrown into the wall. If he'd known what he could do, he would have left the circle. But she'd been so very adamant about him staying right where he was. He wasn't going to give her something else to worry about.
