She had heard enough to know that the lawsuit was no longer going to be a headache. When it came down to it, it was late enough in the day that she'd cleared her schedule in anticipation of spending the entire afternoon sorting out the asshattery that came with this legal battle.
She started to stand.
"Assuming you're able to go out for a drink now?" she asked. "Of course, if you have other appointments, I still might be out celebrating later."
Or he was welcome to give her the nice, polite brush-off at the moment. It wasn't like she hadn't heard it before. Usually accompanied with 'you're just too wrapped up in your work.' or 'you're just a little too opinionated/passionate/outspoken for me.' or something else along those lines.
