Lois nodded. As much fun as a countersuit sounded, she didn't really want to waste any more time in court with the jackass than necessary.
"Pretty much. You get this guy off my back and I'll buy the first round," she offered with a small smile.
Of course, she'd already be paying his fee but if he could keep her from being sued, she would be grateful.
Plus, she sort of missed having anyone to spend time with outside of work. Sure, sometimes she'd grab a beer with the other reporters but they were all sort of... well, they were natives to this City and the natives all seemed to be a little bland, if she was being honest.
Not that she'd ever say that out loud, but they were all a bit timid and homogenous. Lindsey was very clearly not a native. Lois knew people and she had been here long enough to spot the people that hadn't been born here.
